Default Fredericks Celebrated Razor in Ebony

Afternoon gents. What better way to stay warm than in the shop when its -25 outside.
Tried my hand at an old Fredericks with some really significant hone wear this time.

I used ebony for the scales and shedua for the wedge.
I apologize for the ipad pictures, my phone is pooched and its all I had handy.

The bevel was a bear to try to keep even due to the underlying wear that I was able to remove visually.
    Test shave shortly.
    Will advise.
    Cheers!

Very nice job Mike. Funny thing about your razor is I have one almost identical that has some very bad geometry issues. One of the first razors I haven't been able to get a bevel set on. My honing experience is limited to about 30/40 razors, but I'm hoping some day I'll get it right. Yours looks awesome! Enjoy it!

Thanks guys. Fred's pretty, but not nice against the skin yet.
Test shave failed and I had to retreat to my beau brummel to complete the task at chin.
Can cut hairs in spots along the edge, but still got some to go.
I find the narrow coticule I have seems to give me better bevel action than the wider norton stone I have. But back to the 4k I go..
    Cheers, and thanks.
