Default 15/16 Straight razor with stab. birch

This is my last razor. Tried to make something different this time. The blade is from C145SC and has a figured tail. The handle is from stab. birch on a blue liner from vulcanfibre with a wedge from a artificial turquoise.

    Wow!

That blue liner is an inspired touch for an already amazing razor.

Does the worked tail and overall shape handle well?

Beautiful blade, but I have one thought that keeps running through my head when I see razors like this one, and similar . . .

With such an interesting tail and tang, isn't counter productive to obscure it with scales? It's likely just my sense of "art" but I think that work like this is better suited to a Kamisori style razor. It just seems a shame to hide even a small portion of the workmanship.

Not that I am trying to take away from the skill of the craftsman . . .
