Very, very nice.
My wife has a crush on Peyton Manning (the Bronco's quarterback)
As for me, I always wanted a set of Japanese wood chisels with shark skin handles. Would not want them now as sharks are getting scarce, they say.If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Thanked: 49It is a trick that I heard from some guys from your side of the pond for doing a final etch on damascus made with steel contain enough chromium and other alloying elements that might have trouble getting really black in FeCl. IIRC, I was told that you do your normal shiny final finish and FeCl etch or whatever you normally use, then buff/shine it up and etch it in a container of cold instant coffee. It has been a couple of years, but my recollection is that it takes a while because it is a very weak acid. The blades that I have seen done like that were very black even when containing slightly higher alloy steels like 115W8. . I haven't tried it yet but I plan to on some razors and kitchen knives for no other reason other than it is a "food based" product.

that looks absolutely beautiful!!!
I'm attempting to start making my own razors atm and was wondering if you had any pictures that look down above the spine? I want to have a look at the spine thickness in relation to the tang and where it starts to taper?
I've been looking at the razors you have been making for awhile now and I'm a big fan of your work!!

It is mostly personal preference, and it depends on the razor too. I stamp my logos, so I can taper the tang only behind the logo. If you don't use a logo, or if you etch it, than you can do it after the tapering is done. That way the taper can start right after the grind ends. Here is a picture of the spine:
