    Default Suredge restore

I have not posted restorations in a while so here is one I just finished.
Got this Suredge for restoreand rescae with the request of some more colorful scales.
What is better than some Kirinite? I have not worked with that material before but I like it, polishes great, feels great in hands, I like how the patterns impart sort of a 3D look to the sales.
Blade is near mirror, buffed and polished, and I also re-blued the tang.
I used white acrylic wedge, SS washers, and brass pins.

I used Burchwood Casey Super Blue Gun Blue, followed their instructions and applied 4 times.

Thanks Stefan! Before you applied it how did you rough up or finish the part to be blued?

Just as it was off the buffer, 600 grit greaseless. I scrubed it a little with #0000 steel wool, but I doubt it did anything to the surface.
Make sure to clean with Windex or another de-greaser before you apply the gun blue.

Very nice, I have some kirinite white pearl I need to use. I like scales with more curves, but the end product is very nice! I'm getting a custom blade from bruno, and I'm thinking about blue finishing it as well.

I like the bluing. Very nice. Something I'm going to try within the next 6 months or so. Thanks.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
