    Default Bow Razor

This one was abused and in rough shape as I have shown previously.

It still has a lot of "character" but a little nicer now and I tried to show its best in the pictures. Everything is original and done without disassembly.

That turned out pretty darn GOOD!

Ever think about darkening / re-etching it?

    That would be AWESOME!

Very nice. What did you use to get that shine? I can't get mine near that clean.

    Very nice.

Well, you sure saved that one, hard to believe it wasn't disassembled! Looks great. I also get a kick out of the etching, Wade & Butcher definitely wanted the world to know that they deserve all credit to the original Bow Razor. Just kinda' funny how they advertise it on the blade, you don't see that kind of thing anymore.

That reminds me, I should give credit and thanks to Geezer for suggesting the use of diamond lapping film, which I used to try and keep the etching from rounding away. I still needed to follow up with 2k and 2.5k sandpaper then polishing paste. It all can be done with sandpapers and a cork, the film stays out of the etching better though.

I have a Wostenholm pipe razor with etching using the same wording but with Pipe/ Geo. Wostenholm & Son instead of Bow/ Wade & Butcher.

Me too, the two seem to be trying to compete with the same visual statement so as to appeal to the same buyers. The black filled stamp on the tangs are just too alike in execution.

Nice job. I really like mine. I am sure it will be a dream to shave with.

I just honed and shaved with it. I found a tiny bit of a frown about a third of the way from the heel and had to take off a little metal. Otherwise it sharpened easily and moves around my face well.
