Meier Germany restore
This is one of the blades from my post. From a bag of junk to a chest of treasures. Been working on and off it for sometime. Finished the razor a couple of weeks ago, and took another to figure out how i was going to make scales for it, there were none to pattern from and had never attempted this without a pattern. They are teak rubbed with low gloss tounge oil. Pinned with SS micro screws. I like to be able to adjust tension without using a hammer. Me and hammers! BAD IDEA. so here it is

Thanked: 9Got another question. Where are you getting your cr/ox from? Looking to buy some myself.
Also, I use a C12k as well and I'm getting some mixed results. What grit are you using to lap it?

I bought mine at imperial shave. I set the bevel with 220 or 320 grit paper wich i clamp over a stone that has been lapped flat. Wet the stone and place paper between stone and holder, push stone tight against paper and pull paper to rear of stone making sure it is eaven with edge of stone then tuck that end in and clamp making sure there's no loose paper sticking up , the water will hold it down this is just to give you an idea. I dont have those stones YET! And dont forget a couple layers of electical tape. Once bevel is set, remove tape and progress thru 1 5 8 10 gits till perfection is aquired, then cr/ox, material, leather then hot shower and ahh!! [emoji6]

Im sorry might have miss understood. Typically. 600 grit YMMV. i keep them clean so ready at will. So i doesnt take much to remove the fouling
