    Default Primitive Kamisoris

Here are a couple kamisoris I did recently, trying to keep them more primitive/medieval looking but easy to use. I knocked together the simple sheaths mainly for edge protection during shipping but also provides a simple storage solution for the time being. I need to make some boxes or stands with these pieces!!!!!
They handled very easily on the hones and stropping was a breeze with both. Shaves were both bbs with 3 pass test shaves. Very happy with the result, albeit not for everyones taste! I'm playing with the idea of doing more primitive looking pieces and having the sheaths match more so by playing with textures, materials, etc.

Both are beautiful but I really like the first one better. Just a matter of taste I guess. Looks like they would both be great shavers.

Very nice. Don't be so stingy with the technical details.

Been seeing a lot of your work lately, superb, trying to find a pic of a big 9/8 or 10/8 I saw of yours, spike point / spanish point type razor you were holding with an old Sheffield, was a gorgeous blade, heard my Sheffield's yell up from the basement in jealousy, do you happen to know the one I'm talking about, have a pic?

    Great work!

    Great work!
this one is the rough ground state of the prototype of my "biggin" next to a 15/16 Wade & Butcher. The prototype measured in at 17/16, right inbetween 9/8 and 10/8.

You're psychic brother - that's is the exact pic I was thinking of....that particular blade has been haunting my dreams of late, I'd want a thumb notch and I'd be good to go. It reminds me of one of my favorite razors, this 9/8 Wade and Butcher:
