I'll watch a few more episodes of F in F just out of curiosity. It might help dull me enough to get a good night's sleep.

Nope, not Murray Carter. Forging is a hobby of my neigbor. Along with excellent woodworking skills. He hasn't done much metal work of late.

I was initially really excited when I saw the teasers but it is the same old and tired Reality Show Competition format and, while it is kind of neat to be in the position of a fly in the wall, you just learn almost nothing of value.

What is interesting is the affect/disposition of the Judges... Faces flushed, exuberant and desmonstrative postures and gestures... I guess that could be contrived but it is possible that the Staff are just unable to translate that energy/interest to the screen. ??

Hoped for more but the descriptions of blades during testing leaning toward the dramatic is just distracting... Describing an edge as effective then including some specific or historical details rather than as ".. a killer.." is evidently too much to ask.

I plan on continuing to watch simply in the hopes that Version 2.0 and beyond will be better rather than the whole deal just fading away.

Well, I enjoy the show,,, The closest I get to a forge is a Weber kettle, but I wish I had the place to try & learn,,, I would like to make my own knife someday,,

    I too like the show.
    I find it interesting.
Of course I have ZERO idea how to forge anything.

The more you know about something the less you like imitations of it.

I watched the marathon the other night , I was disappointed,, I didn't see anything that would be worth having ,, they don't give them enough time for a quality product , so if it's just grinding a rough piece of metal into a pointed object I guess I don't want to watch , I thought there was going to be some really technical process and some nice looking blades , maybe I expected to much. I would have liked to see artist bring a-games to the table , like the bladsmiths of old. , you know , Lile, Randall and the others bringing us practical works of art that you can be proud of ,, Tc

A very concise collection of words to honor the newly forged razors...uh, the ones you like anyway...a personal thing. Thanks for the definition!
