Thanked: 9Greaves 7/8 near wedge restore
I wish they all went this well. The blade is about at true as can be, and all the old hardware was salvaged. The scales were made to the dimensions of the originals.
Before and after.

Terrific, saving the washers and using the scales shape really brings it back to life.

A beautiful razor and restoration.
Love the color of the scales. Kinda reminds me of root beer.
Congratulations!

Thanked: 9Thank you for the complements.
I get the horn slabs from eBay member "globalwoods". I've gotten several from this seller and each piece has been flawless. No delamination, no unusable areas. The pieces were all nearly perfectly flat. I've gotten slabs from others on ebay as well and they all had lamination problems and had to be flattened.
6x2x 5/6mm is the size and I can get a set of scales from one piece.
