    Default OCD humpback USS Constitution

This one is a real beauty. She sports a large humpback over an 8/8s full hollow satin, round nose blade. There are no jimps or finger notches on this razor. The spine and tang were turned liquidy molten with an acetylene welding torch to give an old, crudely made appearance, I hope. I do not forge but I was going for that look.

The scales are genuine Douglas fir from OLD IRONSIDES, thanks to my friend Jaydee. The lettering is laser engraved by my friend Paula. Everything spelled correctly, I think. Wedge is ivory paper micarta.

Side note: Today I shaved with her for the first time. Without a doubt, this is the finest shaving razor I have ever used. An absolute perfect baby butt shave. The new owner couldn't be happier.

    As always, thanks for looking

Nice historic restore. Thanks for sharing.

What would have been great is iff the steel was from the ship also.
May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!

Lovely razor, Bob. Dig that hump! Swing by and get this 'Old Ironsides' silver charm for an inlay before you run out of that wood!

I'll definitely swing by. I've got enough fir for seven or so razors and enough original 1797 oak for two razors...but those two will definitely stay here

Great creation Bob. That can still be providing shaves in a couple of hundred more years thanks to you.
