    A lovely bowl. Well done.

A well made wooden bowl for shaving soaps imho is far preferable than ceramic or metal!

My wife has two of Bill's make up brushes. I hear about them to the point:

"Why can't you make things this nice? It can't be that hard to make."

It will never stop. She could give a flip about the scales I make.

If so they are IMO the best of the best,I just did A total rebuild on mine.
I'm not sure the model Bill. I do know that it needs to be rebuilt though..... wee wee wee wee wee wee, is what I hear when using it. Needs new bearings. The tool rest needs massive persuasion when you need to move it, The tensioner is completely gone so the weight of the motor is all that keeps the belt taught ( slips quite a bit when I really get the bowl gouge going.) Pops uses it a lot though and I'm only doing smaller stuff these days. Maybe in the future I might re do a few things on it.

You can get a new set of bearings on the bay for 40bux (are only two, easy to replace) replace the belt with the snap together belts, are far smoother running with less vibration.

RandyDance has those on his belt grinder. I was amazed how quiet they run. I put the belt over the pulley whilst Randy was positioning the motor and it went on quite easily.

My next belts will be that kind. Woodcraft carries them.
