Back in about '69 my English teacher was Mr Jarbo and Mr Jarbo was 'very British' in his mannerisms.
One day while speaking and noticed that my friend Gary McDonald was keeping some us (including me) of well entertained he stopped his lecture and said:
Gary! And Gary said "Yes sir" and Mr Jarbo said:
"Gary there once was a man with a talking mule and was making millions upon millions of dollars off of him and one day he went out and shot him dead as hell. Do you know why"?
Gary replied; "No".
Mr Jarbo replied: "Because no one likes a 'Smart Ass' and neither do I"!
hehehe
Now fess up! Where on that endless Internet did you purchase the scale material????Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Trust me in 1969 in a High School with a total of about 300 students hearing what he'd said from a teacher was unheard of! After Mr Jarbo had said it he lost total control of the class for at least 5 minutes! I guess we were the original 'Sweat Hogs'
Last I talked to him he was battling liver cancer and swore that he'd beat it! I never saw him again. Miss him he was a great teacher.
My apologies for hijacking your thread! :Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.
