    Default Fadeuilhe a Madrid

    Hi,

Some time ago I was asked to restore a str8 razor, beautiful in its shape but of unknown history.

The inscription on the tang says: FEDEUILHE A MADRID. Unfortunately even oncle Google
does know nothing about mister Fadeuilhe nor about a company of that name.

It's only after having removed the scales I could discover the name of the real manufacturer.

LECOLLIER A NOGENT, a very old and respectable French company, region of Haute-Marne,
which one can compare to Sheffield in England, Solingen in Germany or Eskilstuna in Sweden.

After the restoration of the blade, the razor has received new scales of ebony wood and a new spacer of ivory.

    Thank you for watching

You have done excellent work with the razor. It appears the pivot hole was sleeved. Did you do that or was it there when you removed the scales?

I did it. It's a small section of an ear stick. Simple and effective way of sleeving too large pivot holes.
