Bad luck.
Really a shame to see all that hard work go to waste but accidents do happen.
Love the scales.Tony

NOT that we haven't seen this type of advertisement on the bay before.... :rofl2 :
Thanks for the kind words guys....
I am still kinda upset about it, but nothing I can do so..... onward
At least it wasn't a restore for a customer!
Oh yeah.... NO WAY I am shortening these scales. I will just make another set.

The way I really look at it, even during our banter, is that you were willing loan a razor to your son and pass on a great hobby.
He probably feels the worse because he gets to personally see the time and effort.
It's only one blade, a duck, but, there were many more destroyed for dumber reasons.
Put him on eBay to search for a replacement blade. Yall pick it out together. Show him how to finish a blade and pin it back into those scales!
A better bonding moment that my Dad wouldn't have done for me. He would just stop sharing. It's a dog eat dog world and I have on milk bone underwear.

It's all good.
Mistakes happen..
It's not like this was his first shave with a straight either.
He has been using one for about a year now!
Good thing I told him to use that one though....He brought my 7/8 Satinedge I did in the Blue scales out first.
Now that one he would have been in a bit of trouble if he "chipped"... LOL
Maybe this will make him more aware of what actually goes into making/restoring/refurbishing these things we all love!
