Made my first brass wedge liners..
So on the second razor I made scales for the wedge end was awful due to me running out of bone to work with... I got my brass liner in the mail today and i ordered .025 and .032, feel like the 32 is waaaay too thick lol... So I used a micrometer and figured out where I want the razor to stop I'm the scales, near the spine toe side and knew I was going to subtract .025x2=.050 away from the measure ment on the wedge... I cut the brass the wedge shape plus more, got 400 grit sandpaper and shaped her up, ome thing I can say is the brass was getting too hot to handle at times so I dipped it in not ice cold but cold water and went back to work... i then pinned the wedge in but seen my glue was just delivered! Set the wedges in the liners and used gluemasters medium viscosity... I then put it in pinned the razor and buffed the brass so the edges weren't so rough cut... But after that it. Was business as usual and finished out the razor...
This is is my first liner and would like some feedback on either I can make them easier, or if I missed something... Personally loved the way it looks but If I make them even better it will this community that has the know how... Here she is, some will recognize the razor but this is about the liners only... Plus seeing the polished brass shine though th honey? Man that's awesome, can't wait to so this in black!
