Default Fredrick Reynolds 6/8 faux frameback

Just finished up my Fredrick Reynolds Faux Frameback this was my first razor using the black horn streaked white... Of course my brass wedge thing gave me no problems! Love tell way she sits in her scales, all pretty like lol... Only thing left to do is hit her with the greaseless until she is Unrecognizable lol na im only joking hAha

about the the only thing that did happen is first I sanded my middle and my thumb on a new 80 grit belt on the belt sander...

then in taking off the painters tape that was protecting the edge I cut my thumb in the same place... I do say my flipping people off on the road just got some character lol

Frederick Reynolds are some of the finest shaving Sheffield razors out there. Some can be a real pain to hone but once you get a good bevel set and the edge polished up they hold an edge for a long time. Enjoy!

Yeah it really was a pain to hone but once I got the motion for the rolling x stroke it was keyed in

Just to keep it all straight. A faux frame back is one that has a one piece blade and tang, with the bars added to make the spine. As opposed to a true frame back where the blade is held in place and the spine and tang is one piece. This is a great example of a rattler grind.

    P.S.
Looking good and FR made great razors. One of the best in Sheffield. They did not make the mass production lines that some of the better known makers did, but top quality.

Thanks! That's really good to know! Now at least I'll put up her information right...
I'm actually going to shave with her today...
