    Default Hoshitonbo 8500 custom restore

This Hoshitonbo is my latest restoration. The original scale broke while I was taking the razor apart so I made new set with orange pearl acrylic.
I transferred the overlay and used brass pins and stainless washers.
The blade had spotting so I removed most of it while I finished it to high polish.

Those shave awesome. All Japanese straights that I have tried in that style blade were superb shavers.

Very nice Stefan and the scales and colour definitely suit that great Japanese blade, my favourite shaver they take a fantastic edge and are the smoothest of shavers.

I agree on the edge and how they shave. I also really like Eiko, they feel different though.

Beautifully done, Steven. I really like the color of those scales.
