I went to our local Fastenal today..... Asked them about getting me some 1/16 solid brass rods. Looked it up on their catalog..... Didn't have any. Not even showing any kind of stock for it. They were stumped!

I'll most likely order something from a hobby shop. Or pay the inflated prices and get it from eBay.
Is it over there or over yonder?

They will order 1/16" machine screws and nuts. Last bunch I got came from Burnaby. My order shipped was less than shipping from microfasteners.
For rod I have been using some brass and some nickel silver wire that Raol picked up for me at Ken's Gems in Calgary. Collars I ordered from Austin Kennedy. The other washer and stuff I have came from many places. I bought some from an RC shop in Prince George. Some did come from micro fasteners.

Hey guys, I don't know if this helps you or not, but I just ordered a 5 pack of 1/16" brass rod (not sure of the length of each rod) from these guys in Red Deer, Alberta for $5.00 a pack.

They generally stock it, but ran out over the Christmas season.

Just passed through hobby shop here in Winnipeg. They do have 1/16 brass rod in pack of 3x1'. It's $2 pack. They also have washers. Pack of 5pc. $6. (Bit costly).
Anyway, I don't mind to buy this and send by mail.

I picked up two 12" rods at one of the hobby shops in Regina. That will last me a long time. In time order some washer. Might get some of bullseye ones I have seen on eBay to use on my old sheffields when I go to put the scales back on some of my blades.

Next time I'm in Winnipeg, I'll have to look you and Christian up. Do a mini meet of sorts.
