    Default Rodgers CTTM

For lack of a better term I'll call this a faux frameback. It combines elements I really like so it was well worth the effort to restore it. It was admittedly rough in spots but cleaned up nicely without losing any of the detail.
The original Ivory scales were cracked and instead of duplicating them in Ivory as I have fistfuls of preban Ivory ,,,, a more PC choice was made to use Mammoth Ivory instead.
Keeping with tradition I did't use washers and staying " natural" I used black horn for the wedge.
hope you enjoy it. I do!

The Sheffield cutlers referred to it as a reaver grind. It was ground from heel toe and was more difficult to grind but allowed for a thinner blade. Looks like 2 grind lines on the blade before you restored it. There would have been no grind marks running from spine to bevel as can be seen on the lower section of the blade when it left the factory.
    Nice save and nice restore.

That turned out amazing! You did a great job keeping the tang etch, I have an issue with that at times because I get sloppy. Perfect job all around
