    Default Red horned Greaves .

So I got it cheap in this condition. Well actually, I had already knocked the red off it at this point. Wasn't to sure how it would turn out. This of course was done on the grinder with fine belts. There was no way I was going to get this done by hand.

The pits were pretty deep and I left some in order to save detail and the makers mark. As you can see it was 1 or the other. Bummer.

But I got it polished up and I picked out some special horn material I have had for awhile and made some new scales for it. Not to sure about the washers I made but they are growing on me.

If any of you are thinking of using red horn know this. It is only red on the surface. The streaking may go deeper but it will show black/brown and white once you get through the red.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
