That is a perfectly beautiful vintage blade, why did you feel the need to polish it up shinier than a diamond in a goats azzz!!!

Sorry, could'nt resist, absolutely awesome work, does the etch say, "The Sterling Razor", or, "The British Razor", spectacular specimen!

I made my kids approach the monitor and bow to your work.........
Har! Thanks, Phranks! It proclaims 'The British Razor. Trust me, that etch would not be there, nor would the grinding striations had I done much in that regard. TBH, the blade was pristine and as far as looks go, it is about the same as-receiving with exception of some rust off the tang and the wider, wonky bevel. Thing had the prettiest, tinyest, even bevel ever.
    Was not to be, however!

It's gorgeous, sent my RAD meter off the scale!!

What does the etch on the spine say...do you have a shot of it?

Always enjoy your posts and admire your work. I can only imagine how difficult those scales were to work on never mind the warped and twisted blade. Very nicely done.

Can't add much to what everyone else has said Tom - except I'm full of admiration at how you kept the bevel even. I truly believe your work is now in the master category.

I appreciate that, but MAN, has it been on the hones. A LOT

I lost count of the worn-out pieces of tape, spine wear created here, there, cleaning that up, polishing the back spine, tape and go again. A real mess!
