Thanked: 2284Now that I look at this razor again, I don't think I've ever seen a JR without the Cutlers To Her Majesty on the tang. Maybe a rare bird?

In the mid 1800s there was a case of Joseph Rodgers vs. Nowill, where a John Rodgers & Sons mark came into question. I don't know the finer details without really digging into the court document (I don't currently have the time to) but I'm wondering if this is from the firm that Joseph Rodgers was attacking.
Here is a document if anyone is interested: https://books.google.it/books?id=G2M...ffield&f=false

Thanked: 4249Very nice work Glen, what happen to the inlay on the scales?
Assuming that you guys are familiar with this?
Also notice that most Rodgers with the trademark are stamped with Joseph and not J.Last edited by Martin103; 02-05-2016 at 09:18 PM.
