200 year old Sheffield Hives warranted back in service.
This lovely old Sheffield Hives warranted Stubtail came my way as part of a trade from fellow forum member It looked OK no bevel wrong scales but I saw there was potential, so I made a pair of horn scales after looking at many stubtail photo's I finally settled on a style I liked plus I had some nice pins and domed washers which I thought would kind of keep it's look authentic hopefully, I used a blood red acrylic wedge I always glue and then peen after a mock set up run, I honed the razor this morning suprisingly easy and what a fantastic edge my thumb as a big gash to prove it, I may give the razor a run out on Sunday.

Mesmerizingly honking good stuff! To pull off a non-replicating resto and have it work so so well!
