Thanked: 4Wade & Butcher in African Ironwood
Just finished up another pre 1891 Wade & Butcher barbers notch. The original scales were cracked and not salvageable. There is a bit of pitting along the scale line, but it still polished up pretty well. Ended up going with an African Ironwood for the scales and a bone wedge.
Went ahead and just cut them down to the shape of the originals
