    Default Iwasaki Kamisori blade protection

..I noticed that the protection wrap paper of the kamisori was cut, it affected the sharpenss of kamisori too, so I decided to make some sort of protection.. I used zebrano wood, polished it, and oil finished it. Took me few hrs, but I like the result. The work was a bit challnegy, due to the asymmetrical grind and the fact that I wanted to be able to still use the original box, which meant that the blade protection has to be fairly thin..

Nicely done. I had the same kind of thought but mine focused on protecting the blade during shaving not for long term storage. But it could be used for that too. I came up with the Whale in buckeye burl.

Suticat, I think I saw this one before, probably when you made it, I like your solution (and the selection of wood) !

Looks great miha. I'm interested in kamisoris, but the storage issue has kept me from getting one. When I do get one I may try something similar.

Very interesting idea. Which can be developed to infinity in any form.
Only elastic band slightly spoils the view. Maybe it was necessary to make a cover as that of Zippo Lighters. I began to fantasize already .....))))
    All just fine!
If something is unclear in the text, please correct me ......
