Default One Piece 1084 Razor with Desert Ironwood

    Greetings everyone,

Here is a one piece razor that I just finished. The steel is 1084F from Aldo (the NJ Steel Baron), the scales are Desert Ironwood, and the pins are titanium. The razor is about 15/16 inches wide and edge is approximately 3 inches long. I am in the process of honing the razor now.

    Really a nice looking razor!
I too like the nice clean look of functional beauty.
Is it easy to manage on the strop?
Is that desert ironwood used as scales taken from the roots of the ironwood tree?
I have a large stack of Desert Ironwood roots that look similar in that they have a lot of gold coloring mixed with the dark brown.

    nicely finished
how does the straight tang on it feel when using it?

I think there is a reason most Japanese Kamisori have the angled tangs for ergonomics.
    Saved,
    to shave another day.
