    Default Razor#7

Hi gents just finished razor #7 it's 8/8",1/4 hollow o1 steel, I thought I would play around with a satin finish which went fairly well,I normaly mirror finish but it's a lot of work to get a good mirror finish as some of you guys that make/restore razors will well know.
Ivory acrylic scales which I textured and a faux turquoise wedge.
Honed up on a naniwa superstone progression then on a Japanese asagi, and I'm pleased to say she gave a lovely shave on her maiden voyage.
Still not perfect but I'm loving the journey ed.

Looks great. One thing about a perfect mirror finish....It never stays that way, it seems.
The scales are nice. Texturing sets them apart, I think!

I like the texturing simply because they should be easier to grip and less likely to be dropped.

Thanks, you are right about mirror finishes plus they seem to show up any fingerprints and seem to just attract scratches but boy do I love a mirror finish!! Cheers ed.

    Razor with direct character.
Nothing extra. Satin is very good looks.
Why from Erl to shank you're not doing a longitudinal satin? I think it's easier and straighter ....
