Thanked: 12A New Creation
This is a new one I just finished up. I think it turned out good, It sure took a great edge. It is very large and heavy in the hand. The specs are:
Steel:O1
Width: 8/8
Grind: 1/4 hollow
Point: French
Scales: Ivory Paper Micarta
Inlay: ALVS
I did some file work on the spine that is the vine pattern. I also put some brass in the tang, I though it would look cool and I never did it before so I thought why not? I also put a third heel pin (or whatever everybody else calls it for mainly looks at the last minute. If you look closely you can notice that the ALVS Shell did crack, I do know why and I have more on the way to fix that issue.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 12Yeah, it took me a while to do the file work but I enjoy doing it and it actually turned out like something I was picturing in my mind. Half the time I begin file work and it ends up looking nice but not always what I initially picture in my mind. This one turned out nice. Thanks for the compliment! I appreciate it

Thanked: 12Thanks for the compliment Pete! I really appreciate it!! I've been able to do a few this year and this one is by far my favorite. I test shaved with it today and this razor shaves like a dream, just glides through the whiskers. Again thanks!!

That's really a pleasure to look at Jared, thanks for sharing the pics. Excellent work. The file work must be tedious.

Thanked: 4826Even though this razor is not really my thing I can see that you put a lot of time in on this one. It has some great attention to detail. Very well executed!
