I don't work on little blades like this very often. The full hollow ground blades leave very little material to work with. This one is 9/16 that was finished on a Suehiro Gokumyo 20K. The little blade disappeared quickly in the face lather but sang effortlessly through the whiskers. The acrylic is called Murasaki with a faux ivory wedge and brass pins and collars. It's headed back to the owner in Kentucky. I took some outdoor pictures because the acrylic colors were muted in the light box.

Very nice work. Do you have any before pictures? Those scales are amazing. I hope to be able to produce that quality work one day. I love that stand. The owner should be very happy.

Nice work, Karl. The scales are lovely. Really have a natural look to them!

As always nice work my friend. That material is most intriguing. Apparently i have some googling to do. At first i thought it was some kind of cray dyed horn. I like the package.

Yes, Karl did a wonderful job and I truly love it. It took a few days for me to decide on the right scales as Karl face me lots of choices. But I wanted something that wouldn't be too far off the beaten path of similarity in the previous original scales. I appreciate the kind comments everyone. Karl is definitely a pro in every facet. It's ready for a shave today and I haven't even stropped it or checked it. Why ???? When Karl gives them a test shave he even tells you that you don't need to strop it. Wonderful !!!!
    Thanks again.

Excellent work! If annual prizes were given for scale shaping, finishing and pinning work this one would be the 2016 front runner.

Thanks so much man I have to agree with you 100%. And in person, it looks even better. Karl said that he had trouble getting lighting to work in his photo box as it wouldn't reveal the true beauty and colors. That's why he took the pictures outside. But even still, in person it looks so much better and prettier because you can see so many different colors in person that you can't see in the photos. One heckuva Blade pro IMHO.
    Thanks again Karl.
