Default W&B FBU Shorty in Camel Bone

Finished it but not happy with it. This one frustrated me.

Long story short, wife found it with a busted toe and roached scales. Used the old scales for a template but had to shorten it to match the new shorter blade and then gave it a TI profile in Camel bone. For some reason the thinner I went on the bone the more the middle kept bowing inwards. So I stopped while I was ahead. Tried to use the old wedge but because of the bowing I had to dismantle it and go with more of a spacer in lead. Now to send it off and have the blade brought back to life if I don't tear it apart and start over again. LOL

I understand. I have a really nice colored horn scale that just will not stay straight enough for me to put a razor in it. It has been boiled and baked and a week after it is straightened is bows back. At this point it sure looks pretty on the bench. The shorty looks good, once the edge is smiled up and the bevel set and polished it will be good. Short razors are kind of handy on the neck. It makes me wonder how they decided the standard length of the cutting edge.

    YES SIR!
THAT LOOKS PRETTY AMAZING TO ME. Good call on those scales and pins if you ask me. SOOOOOOOOO CLEAN. I love it. I appreciate the time you put into it even though you're not happy, the pics speak volumes.

    Thanks again

    Thanks.

I already have one shorty and it is amazing nimble compared to my others.

That is one sweet looking shorty!
    Great save on that W&B!
All that hard work and frustration paid off.
I'm sure your wife is amazed at how it came out.
