Henkels box
A nice diversion to building razors is building boxes for them. A beautiful pair of Henkels needed a place to rest so I built this Mahogany finger jointed case
for them.
I used the gold washed design on the blades as a basis for the carving on the lid. After carving the design I used 23k gold leaf to finish it along with a scrimshawed Ivory inlay with the Twinworks logo.
I used a 90 degree hinge and a fully mortised lock mechanism. The section that holds the razors is flocked and the padded lid provides just enough cushioning to keep the razors securely in place .
Hope you enjoy this diversion.

First , thank you everyone for your kind comments.
Adam. Off hand I'll use Woodcraft ( these pieces ) , Rockler, Vandyke restorers, Brusso. But a quick Google search showed lots of others as well.
I just happen to have a Woodcraft nearby so I can see the pieces in hand rather than just a photo or description.
