Thread: 1000+ layer damascus in orange gem juma

Another razor made from a Damascus experiment with Maarten Van Hattem. This one has over a 1000 layers. That doesn't mean that the billet is 1000 parallel layers next to each other, but when he made the billet he included bits of high layer count torsion bars and other such things, so the total make up of the razor is over a thousand individual layers that start and stop in various random locations. Tbh I think this is at the maximum layer count that is still doable. Any more, and the layers become mush.

For the scales I chose the juma orange gem. I like the orange / black combination. Those 2 colors always go together well.
