Default New scales for a old(er) razor

Well I was able to purchase this razor with some less than liked scales. So I decided to try out the green dyed curly stabilized maple wood on for size and see what it would glean. I am happy with the outcome. The wood as you see did not get full dye penetration but I think that adds character in a way.

I was going traditional banana hammock scale profile but decided to add a little different touch. Feels great in the hand and will work quite well.....now to hone her up and place in rotation.

Nice work! Not my style but nevertheless must be weird to strop this traditional banana hammock!

Not at all hard. Just takes time to get use to gripping the razor differently than a traditional hammock styled scales.
