    Default Razor box restoration

Really like some of theses old boxes, but often they are falling apart, been taped, like the one pictured below. You see a lot of the original finish gone, cardboard showing, few parts unglued.

So the first thing I did is glue any loose part with common white glue. Then I took a China marker and Sharpie that matches the color of the box, and just touch up any areas that you can see where the color was missing.

Lastly apply 2 to 3 coats of shellac to seal the entire box and give it a little shine. Shellac also acts as a glue for any loose materials, you could take the shine away with steel wool. I would highly recommend to use shellac from flakes and not from a can. You just mix a small batch with denatured alcohol for the desire project, and its available in many colors. After the shellac the box looks good in my opinion and is stiff not loose like it originally started.
