Default W/B Frameback in brass lined scales

Hiya gents. Have not posted in the customs thread for some time as I usually record my projects as they unfold in workshop threads. That being said this was a particularly elaborate custom project and I wanted to share.
The razor was received as a blade only project with the worst tail decay I have ever tried to recover from. I used a bunch of flux to clean out the cavities and rebuilt most of the tail with silver solder. Re shaped the tail and cleaned up the rest of the blade but elected to leave certain deep scars as they were not in the way and it is an old blade after all.
The scales and matching brush were made from home made casting of some punky burls I had and some alumilite I dyed red. The scales I mounted on brass to give the strength needed and the brass shimmers through the red scale material pretty well, catching the light.

Hey, is that brass liner on the scales? Love some closer pics of that...stunning, I've always thought scale liners were superb additions to a razor, have one old W&B in MOP scales with a silver metal (??) lining them.

The entire razor looks superb, wedge, pins, and that liner...could you post a more sideways pic so we can get a better look at that liner? Sorry to be a bother, but it really brings it all together superbly - excellent work and great job.

That's fantastic! What a great result, a lot went into that project and it turned out beautiful, so original. Congrats!

    Thanks gentlemen.
This project, and future casting ideas, I've captured at

Feel free to add your own efforts there. Tried to make the title easy to search for the benefit of all of us mad scientists..
MOP, on aluminum, or s.s. Liner would look awesome phrank. I'm thinking of using that walrus tusk as liner stock, due to the splits and flaws that run through their lengths actually.
Maybe on a set of these, maybe on a different top colour. Not sure yet.
Here's a couple more side shots to try to show the brass.
