Default Razor with my logo in mosaic damascus

This is a Damascus razor with my logo embedded in the steel itself, as mosaic Damascus.
The steel was an idea from Ed Schempp who is an expert at making mosaic steel.

He starts a 5" cub box and uses nickel plate to build the shape of the logo, and then fills the rest with 1084 steel powder. This is then brought to welding heat and compressed with 150 tons of force. After drawing out the mosaic to small bars, he placed the rod in between a stack of plates of true random pattern mosaic Damascus and literally compressed everything to a big loaf. I cut slabs from the loaf and forge them to the correct thickness and draw out a tang. The blade portion itself can't be forged into a wedge because the logo would be mangled.

The scales are Green Juma snake.

Very impressive Logo, Bruno. That's a beautiful razor, and the scales fit it beautifully!

In recent months I have been seeing this with different bladesmiths. I have so much respect for smiths that can produce this effect. The work and effort to do it right is just amazing. And the final result, as on your piece in this thread? Absolutely worth it! Beautiful razor, Bruno!

Ed also gave me a couple of feet of those logo rods so that I can plug weld them into other things I make.
The main thing I have in mind for this is kitchen knives because that way I don't have chisel marks where dirt could crawl in.
