Vintage Minature straight razor.
Just finished this little beauty now true minature straight razors are pretty rare in my books, the razor weighs in at a mighty 14 grams as a cutting edge of 2 inches I have heard say they may have been produced for Ladies not sure if this is true or not? I'm going to hone the razor tomorrow, here's the before and after shot's plus a picture along side my Japanese full hollow 13/16.

Nice job of work!!
Some were sold for removing corns and such hard items from the feet. Corn razors. not 'Korn' razors.

Yeah Richard I think the corn razors were much different in design as the tail had a section that didn't allow the razor to be fully opened like a true straight razor, that's what makes me think this is a genuine minature and not a corn razor.

I have had a few pass through my hands and all opened fully. Some had knife blade shaped blades. We could well both be correct!

Nice restore, Jamie!
I have a little pile of littles. No corn razor features. Just little.
Wm Temporal, MAB, Heljestrand and J. Rodgers in ivory, and a cool Maw, Son, and Sons
which was part of a surgical kit, I think.

Beautiful restoration.
These small razors have peaked my curiosity.
Hopefully one day I will find one.

Thanked: 634I don't think it's a corn razor. ERN put out a small razor like that called LILIPUT. Shaved well. Good on those tight spots.

Thanked: 4249Beautiful work restoring that miniature razor Jamie. It is not a corn razor at all, it is a Ladies Razor.
