Thanked: 0First attempt at restoring
Bought an old Butler Sheffield razor. Decided to break it down out of its damaged scales and sand away from 180-12000 grit sandpaper and polish it up before sending it out for scales.

I think that this razor looks far too dangerous for you - pls send it to me for proper disposal.
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

Thanked: 4830Wow from 180. It takes so long to get the low grit scratches out that I rarely drop below 180. It looks pretty good, are new scales on the horizon?

Thanked: 59Super nice job, what did you practice on? Or, is this your first restore?
How bad were the scales?
