    Default First attempt at restoring

    Bought an old Butler Sheffield razor. Decided to break it down out of its damaged scales and sand away from 180-12000 grit sandpaper and polish it up before sending it out for scales.Name:  IMG_2742.jpg

    I think that this razor looks far too dangerous for you - pls send it to me for proper disposal.

    Wow from 180. It takes so long to get the low grit scratches out that I rarely drop below 180. It looks pretty good, are new scales on the horizon?

    Super nice job, what did you practice on? Or, is this your first restore?
    How bad were the scales?
