Default W Greaves & Sons Stub Tail - G10 Baby

Old Stub Tail Greaves probably made in the 1830's
Restored to an original soft satin finish

We want with a Layered G10 set of scales (@.115") with Ivory and Black with an Ivory wedge (@.055")
The Nickel Silver pins are locked with Domed SS washers on the outside an Solid Brass inner Bearing washers

Honing Chosera 1-5-10 Select Coticule to Finish with

The heel need to be re-contoured

I am pretty sure this was a Factory regrind sometime after 1910

That's a very nice Greaves. I like the way you used the layered G10 and had it go back to the ivory wedge.

    Beautiful job Glen.
I love the contrast with the black and white not to mention that Greaves' are awesome shavers.

Great job on that Greaves Glen!
Scale choice, and flow back to the contrasting wedge, slick and clean.
Bet it shaves as good as it looks. Well done sir..

NICE! Excellent restore. Typically I hate modern material used for scales, on super old english blades, but you make it look goooood! Not surprising tho.
