Vintage Fliiarmonica '13'...
It's been awhile since I've posted anything up in this forum, and I have a lot of razors that I've restored over the past several months. Just been 'lazy' I reckon as far as picture taking goes. This one is a real beauty so I thought I post it up as a start to being more active here on SRP. It's a vintage (1950's is my guess?) 13 Filly. I had to do some careful sanding of the hone wear on the spine so as not to disturb the stamp on the front blade face which was in very nice condition. Removed a lot of rust and finished of the tang with some gold wash to highlight the tang stamp. The scales were sanded and polished.
Please excuse the fact that the front pivot has not been pinned. It still needs to be honed and I always hone a razor first before I finish the pinning. I'm sure you can get and idea what it will look like pinned....
Hope you like it...

Beautiful Fili, Mike! Question: What advantage is there in pinning after honing? As someone who is trying to learn all I can about restoration and rescaling, I'm wondering if this is something I should start doing? Thanks-Aaron

Thanks Andrew! I know I've been a stranger BUT I'm going to put an end to that. I got the camera out and I figure the best thing I can do to get me back in the swing of things is to start taking pics of all the razors I've worked on and just get 'em posted up. I've got some really nice ones that I just know "you're going to love" ( as in "Big'Uns" )!!!
