Default Restore for my little bro

I had my little brother over last weekend. He's about 10 years younger than me and lives in Iowa, I live in Missouri, so it was nice to have him down.
He got to looking at some of the razors I had, and then some of the... razors in process that I am going to work on in the future. He's never shaved with a straight razor before so I told him to pick one out and i'd give it to him and show him how to use and maintain it.
Rather than picking a nice fili or even modern blade, he picked out this S.R. Droescher from the "project pile" that he'd been playing with all evening (which by no means is a bad blade, just a curious choice!) he was just going to take it "as is" but I told him I'd clean it up for him and re-pin it so that it actually performed as it was supposed to...
Some minor cracks in the scales came to light during the work and some pitting in the blade that I did as well as I could to remove, but still noticeable. All in all it looks ok, but he's ecstatic about how it looks compared to how it did.
