    Default JA Henkels rusty restore

I picked this henkels up for my covered tang seven day set. It was in worse condition than what I normally start with, and worse than the pics online.Name: IMG_0462.jpg

But I divided to keep it and get to work. I sanded with 600/800/1000/1500/2000/2500 and some w/d 40. Sanded for about 3 hours but was not able to get all the putting out without risking sanding the blade too thin. Then hand polished for a while with mothers mag and aluminum polish. Tightened up the pivot pin so it was snugged up. It did turn out fairly well considering the way it arrived to me. Was not sure of what the scale and tang materials are since there's no washers on the scale pins. But with the way the blade looked when it made its way to me I am keeping it isolated just in case.
