George Butler Restore
I picked up this George Butler razor some time ago. I went through my usual routine for restoration: steel wool and WD40, 800, 1k, 1.5k, and 2k wet/dry sandpaper, followed by lots of polishing with Mother Mag and Aluminium Polish. I found the sanding part went quickly (easy on the etching), but the polishing seemed to take twice as long as usual. There was a fair bit of deep staining on the blade and I decided not to dig too deep. I will get this on the stones in the next few days and take it for a test ride. Here is the before:
And here is the after with a close up of the blade etching. Sorry...my pics are terrible:

Nice save sir. I have one GB and up until about a week ago I shaved with it for a few months straight. An excellent blade indeed. Enjoy!

Nice job looks like it cleaned up just fine.

That cleaned up very nicely. You would never have known it had some rust.

Aloha!
That turned out very nice indeed. Once you put it to the stones, I'm sure you'll enjoy shaving with it. I know I would.
Enjoy!
