    Thanks...just to clarify, you still use a bone piece to patch I assume and use the CA and baking soda to attach? Going to start experimenting with tea stains soon. This is goi g to be my Christmas break project.

    Nope, its all CA and soda, no pieces added.
    I like working on wax paper, once dry you can peel it off, and the flat surface of the table keeps everything flat, on the inside of the scales.
    Just fill the missing area with soda, add CA, let cure, and sand back into original shape, and polish.
    Super thin CA works best
