Default Friedr. Kratz #326 from Wald-Solingen

This blade had a ton of rust and pitting which required a lot of sanding in the bevel area, toe and heel.
As I worked I noticed the blade was quite sharp and getting sharper. It is best to imagine the "polishing" of a katana.

After I was done I shaved with it! No honing, just some stropping on linen and leather. Ehhh, it was not the most comfortable shave, to say the least but it did shave. I then took it to the stones.

I set the bevel with a 16k Shapton and polished on a 20k Gyo.

A razor like this was featured a few years ago. I remembered the two guys sawing the log.

The white scales are bison leg. They are as white as the pics show. Blade was polished with 3M Marine Metal Restorer.

The sharp contrast of the wedge gives this beautiful project that little extra kick.

I do believe that bone came from you. The more I sanded it the whiter it got. Almost looks acrylic.
