Default Source for faux tortoise scales ?

Acquired this razor and it turns out to have a broken scale. The break is through the pivot pin hole so I don't expect it to be repairable. I have looked for faux tortoise replacement scales or scale material with no luck. Could someone please point me to a supplier?

Do a net search for Kirinite-6". The supplier will probably have some Imitation Tortoise shell available. There is also a modern celluloid version...iffy at best.

Since that’s a rather unique and pretty scale and appears to have an inlay you really have little to loose by attempting a repair. I’ve done a trick on scales as thin as ivory where I’ll essentially rout out an area on the inside of the scale to accept a “bridge” piece of material to reinforce the joint. It would span across the break supporting it better than just a re-glued butt joint which would most likely fail.
And there is always the possibility of a brass/aluminum liner for the scales .
