John Hoffier's 'Made for the Army' razors are probably the most common I see but once in awhile I come across something different. This 6/8 near wedge sports a fancy arris spine and sharp jimps on the lower tang. I think the razor probably was crocus finished but I like the contrasting finishes with an arris spine. The blade faces are glazed and the spine and tang a crocus type finish. The scales are original with the original wedge. They required some straightening and the wedge had to be refit to remove the unsightly gaps. I also re-dyed the scales black using hair dye for an even appearance.
