New razor from Max
Got home from Wisconsin and had a package from Las Vegas waiting.
Razor is 8/8 Spanish point and is 1/4 hollow.
Scales and spine inlay are blue paua.
18 kt. gold "dots" inlaid on the spine and tail
She's a real looker and shaves awesome.
Thanks Max!

Was thinking of the machinery and skills Max possesses to do something like this. I betcha everything is tight and right.
Not a gap or imperfection anywhere to be found. Would like to hold that in hand.
Much less be able to afford it!

Helluva collection you've got going, Pete.
Is this your design, or a conglomeration of both u and Max.?Mike

Thanked: 292It's too bad that the razor did not show up before the meet-up. I would have loved to have seen the razor up close and personal. It is a beautiful addition to an already awesome collection of customs.

Mike, my inspiration for the razor was an old Bad Co. song :
Sliver, Blue and Gold
I had seen some of Max's razors with the gold inlays. I drew a couple of designs out and sent them to him. Fortunately, he loved the idea. We talked about some other things. I thought that the blue paua would be good for the inlay and gave him free reign to run with the design. Luckily, he made it happen.
Yup, like so many other guys here, I have a pretty neat collection.
When I spend money on a razor, and the wife gives me the "look" I just remind her that I could spend the money in a barroom drinking and playing Keno, then she is happy again. She liked this one so much that she hinted about a Max making matching piece of jewelry.
Thanks all for the kind words!
