Found a damaged Dorko 14 blade with perfect scales. Lucky me. Got this beauty back in her proper dress.

Thanked: 110As has been said by many others.. Great work!
It is probably me just not paying much attention when a member has posted a pic of their Dorko 14 but i cant recall ever seeing one before Austin's here and the few others that you guys just showed.. Is a Dorko 14 blade quite rare?
Thanks, Scott

Scott, I am by no means an expert on Dorko 14's. I have lusted for a Dorko 14 after acquiring several Filarmonica 14s. I was especially intrigued about a Dorko 14 after reading about the "14 club" thread in this forum. In that particular thread, and on other forums, there is a lot of discussion and speculation where the 14 blanks were forged and why they are so popular. I believe the Dorko company could still be in business and they make a fine, high end product, sought after by wet shaving enthusiasts. The Dorko 14s are probably no longer made but seem to very collectible. They are great razors. I will not be parting with mine any time soon. Several other SRP members have one as well. Thanks for your comments. Austin

Thanked: 110Hey Austin.. My only 14 I have is Ulrik's version in the Koorat 14.2 and like you with yours its not leaving my possession anytime soon.. Superb shaver. After reading this last post of yours i did a forum search for 14's.. I did find that as you said many makers bought those blanks and turned out 14's... A lot more than i knew for sure.. I would like nothing more than to add a few more to my collection of SR's but they do not stay for sale long or they fetch a premium price..
Thanks for the info brother!

Scott, Koraats are great razors and still have a 14.2 on my wish list. I bet it is one of his better sellers. Believe it is priced well too, very reasonable IMO. I have one Koraat and like it but may sell it to pay for one of Ulrich's 14.2s. They are magnificent looking razors. Something to pass on at some point.
